What size of Thirty Two snowboarding boots should I wear?
I usually wear 7.5. As I experienced tightness with 7.5 Burton, when I bought my new Salomon I went for an 8, which turned out to be too big. Now I’m looking at some Thirty Two (32) boots with the double boa system and need advise from those who have the Thirty Two, what size should I get?
What type of snowboarding boots should I buy?
I have a US Men’s size 12 foot.
I have a 08 Salomon Tempest wide.
Feel free to recommend some bindings.
I am thinking about $50 – $80, preferably clearance items!
You should go to a snowboarding shop to try the different brands on. How they fit, what size you need, how they feel, etc. They can be quite expensive. Decide what you like best. You could look online for cheaper then order them?
I wear ride boots! They are really comfortable for me and easy to move in! Though they are kind of expensive!
Salomon makes pretty good stuff.
Burton is the big name brand for snowboard gear, but I wore Salomon boots (I think they were Salomon Malamutes) for a few seasons and was very comfortable. The boots held up well and were the perfect stiffness for me.
I would recommend trying that exact model of boot before you buy it though. Buying online is great, but you want to make sure you have the right fit and desired stiffness. And all boots run a little different on size. Also, make sure your boots fit your bindings. I bought Vans boa boots a few years ago and they wouldn’t fit into my Ride bindings.
But there’s nothing wrong with Salomon boots. It’s a quality brand.

I am thinking about $50 – $90, preferably clearance items!
You need to go to a store and try different boots on to get the best fit. Each boot manufacturer is going to have a different platform for their boots, and then they will have different lines of boots. So, all those different designs will fit you differently. It’s a hassle to go and try them on, but once you do, you’ll have the best way of knowing what will and won’t work for you.
Remember to wear the appropriate socks–like you would wear when you go to ride. That way you’ll get the correct fit.
Also, give the men’s boots a try too. You’ll probably fit some where around a men’s 8.5 to a 9, which opens up even more boots and styles for you to try on.
I’ve found I like the men’s wider toe-box, so I tend to men’s boots.
are you looking for bindings or boots?
I cant rep this company enough http://www.proboardshops.com SO MUCH STUFF for so cheap. I buy everything through here. Check them out.
Opinions on Salomon boots?
I’m looking to buy new snowboard boots, and was wondering about the quality of Salomon brand boots? I don’t have any experience with this brand, but the fact that they make a lot of ski stuff makes me wonder if their snowboard gear is as good as companies who specialize in snowboarding only. I’m specifically looking at the Salomon Ivy boots – http://www.dogfunk.com/dogfunk/SAL1418/Salomon-Ivy-Snowboard-Boot-Womens.html
Any reviews or comments on Salomon boots would be greatly appreciated.
