Makin money online is risky, and before starting your home business you shoudl make sure you know what you are doing, or you will end up like 99% of the others that fail and end up being scammed and losing all your money because you failed to take the time to learn
They are also lazy, and expect money to be handed to them. They think the internet is the proverbial Eldorado, but it isn't. They don't regard their home business as a real job but as a hobby, and when they take time off to watch afternoon TV they don't make it up at night. They are also impatient, and want instant success without focussing on one source of income. That's why people fail.
Barring sheer luck, and being in the right place at the right time, there is only one way to make money online: Learn the business and the rules and do it right. Then you will make money: not too fast in the beginning, and your first lesson is that duplication is the Golden Rule of making money online. If it works, do it again. If you can make $10 each day from one site focussing on one niche, then if you do the same with another niche you will double that to $20 and so on. Dom it with as many websites and niches as you can manage and make what you like - that's $730,000 a year! That's how to make money online.
So do the math: If $100,000 every year attracts you the all you have to do is to have 18 websites that each make you $15 a day. It doesn't sound hard, an its pretty simple if you know how. How do you get 27 websites? Learn how - I put up a wwebsite every fortnight and advertise them by distributing three articles for each every week in addition to writing for others on a freelance basis, so it is possible.
Most people start off making a lot less than that, and stick to one site and one niche. Hence, if your thing is skateboarding you could also put up a website on snowboarding and rollerblading and so on. If you can set up a site on golf, the you can do the same on golf courses and golfing vacations. Get the idea?
How about other niches that you know nothing about? Hire a freelance writer or ghostwriter to write your pages for you and then just monetize it with some affiliate products. Then use article marketing (free) or Google Adwords (not free) to promote your website and get some traffic, and then wait the results. You will make money from some niches, and not with others, so pass on the losers and seek new winners.
Whatever you do, don't get caught by the scammers who will take your money and give you nothing for it. Raad eBooks and watch videos to learn how to do it and make sure you have mastered the basics before you carry on to the rest. You can then begin the more advanced stuff, but you should be making money online by then anyway and can use it to expand your home business by learning new tricks.
This is especially easy if you are already making money on the internet, and you can take the time to learn new tricks. Videos are the best media of all, since you canpause them while you follow whast you are being taught, although sometimes eBooks and written instructions are just as good.
If the internet is new to you, and you have just lost your job and have to work from home to make a few bucks, then don't worry: you will find a lot of help available, and most of us will help you when you need it.
